Boy Carnivore

I come from a family conflicted about eating meat.  My mom has pretty much earned the moniker ‘vegetarian’ because only the lowly chicken, turkey and fish will be consumed.  Big Grandpa won’t eat any poultry after a pretty disgusting encounter that I won’t regail here should you plan on eating chicken for dinner.  Aside from the very occasional steak, I really don’t eat any beef.  I do eat pork and chicken, although I could live without fish.  The BigD will eat anything….and it seems the son is following in his footsteps.  In fact, he loves meat.  LOVES IT.  We ordered out from Famous Dave’s tonight and have learned the hard way we have to order extra….meat.  Brisket and ribs to be precise.  It’s just a funny thing to see a six year old gobbling away at ribs, tossing the bone aside, and then stealing another one off his Dad’s plate.  I have a feeling there will be many meat battles in the future to decide who will get the last rib.
