Q125 Event and Parade Pics

Enjoy the photos from my hometown’s Q125 Parade.  Yes, there are a lot of tractor photos — my step-dad sponsored the tractor show and I promised to take pics of those!  There were other things in the parade, trust me.  The parade lasted 1.5 hours and even though my kiddos only sat through 1/2 of it (and rode the rest …. on a tractor!), they both ended up with huge bags of candy.

I love the moment in a parade where the flags come by.  It’s amazing that a mass of people can become instantly quiet and respectful.  I read somewhere “patriotism is the lump you feel in your throat when you hear the National Anthem or see the flag.”   The young man in dress whites is my cousin, and the young man carrying the Nebraska flag is another cousin’s husband who has spent time in Iraq.

As I mentioned before, there were a ton of great events.  I don’t think we made it to 1/2 of them.   Here are some photos from the bounce houses, fireworks, pony rides, tractor pull, wild west show, and old time baseball game.
